SASA

Sexual Assault Survivor Advocates. Advocates are recruited and trained to work with survivors as they experience difficulties and barriers in their communities. What do advocates do? They listen to veterans, work side by side with veterans as they match resources to needs, and help veterans gain their voices again. Only a survivor can truly understand what another survivor endures, and with this perspective, we are working on a national training program for state and regional volunteer advocates.

SAFR

Sexual Assault First Responders. Many times, survivors wait years to get help. Our board and team at INTERNITY know the proper processes and connections to get help - even if it is years after the assault. We will work with survivors to fill out the proper forms, put them in touch with appropriate resources, and transition them to advocates who can walk with them as they begin their journey of recovery.
